Spring Recycling Event
Saturday, June 8; 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Northshore Park & Ride, 68th Ave NE & NE 181st St
The recycling event provides an opportunity for Kenmore resident to properly dispose of batteries, cardboard, television sets and other items. A flyer is mailed to residents prior to the event.

Northshore Fire Open House
Saturday, June 15; 9 to 12 p.m.
Northshore Fire Headquarters, 7220 NE 181st St
Join in the fun at the annual Northshore Fire Department Open House. The free event features a pancake breakfast (from 9-11 a.m.), a health and safety fair, and live firefigher demonstrations. Lots of activities for kids including an opportunity to tour the fire engine, aide car, and rescue truck.

Fireworks Show
Thursday, July 4; 10 p.m.
Log Boom Park
The City hosts a professional fireworks show over Lake Washington.

Call for Vendors!
City of Kenmore is seeking vendors for the fireworks show. Applications are due May 31, 2013. Vendor selection completed by June 7.

Summer Concert Series
Thursdays, July 11 - August 15; 6 - 8 p.m.
Saint Edward State Park, 14445 Juanita Drive NE
The City of Kenmore will sound off its 11th annual Kenmore Summer Concert Series for six consecutive Thursday evenings starting July 11 at Saint Edward State Park. The open stage at Saint Edward State Park is an ideal location to relax and enjoy a casual evening amidst the park’s natural beauty. Visitors are invited to bring blankets, lawn chairs and picnic dinners to share a special summer night under the open sky. Each night features different music from around the globe.

National Night Out Against Crime
Tuesday, August 6
Kenmore City Hall, 18120 68th Ave NE
The Kenmore Police Department hosts a fun evening for the community with free food, activities and crime prevention information. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

Saturday, August 10; 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Rhododendron Park, 6910 NE 170th St
The City of Kenmore is proud to be selected as a KaBoom! Playful City USA Community. Kenmore is recognized for its expressed commitment and willingness to take action for play.

Come celebrate with us at our Play Day! Enjoy free food and activities in the park with neighbors, family, and friends. Details to come.

Jack V. Crawford 'Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore' Day
October 2013
The Kenmore City Council invites community members to participate in a parks cleanup event honoring Kenmore's first Mayor Jack V. Crawford's many contributions to Kenmore. In 2009, City Council proclaimed October 24 "Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore" Day as an annual observance in honor of Mr. Crawford, who passed away in December 2008. Mr. Crawford served on the Kenmore City Council from the City's incorporation in August 1998 through December 2005. During his Council tenure, he held the position of Kenmore's first Mayor from 1998 through 1999; and held the position of Deputy Mayor from 2000 through 2001. Mr. Crawford was particularly proud of Kenmore's parks.
