Parks Appreciation Day

Celebrate the Fourth of July with a spectacular fireworks show over Lake Washington. Activity booths and food trucks will operate from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The fireworks spectacle will blast off at 10:00 p.m.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, as seating is limited. Please no tents, fireworks, or alcohol. City advises keeping pets at home.

National Night Out Against Crime

On Tuesday, August 4 from 6 – 9 p.m., join the Kenmore Police Department for the annual National Night Out Against Crime. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at City Hall and includes free food, home and personal safety information, and activities. All ages are encouraged to attend!
National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals, letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
Kenmore Play Day
10 am – 2 pm
6910 NE 170th Street, Kenmore
This popular, free community event offers kids of all ages an opportunity to discover the fun of play by participating in a variety of activity booths. Activities include: fitness stations, story time, music, arts & crafts, outdoor games, bubbles, Lego’s, free boat rides on the river, and much more! There will also be food for purchase from food trucks and the City will be providing free healthy desserts to participating children.
Getting to the Event
Rhododendron Park is located at 6910 NE 170th Street. Parking is available along NE 170th Street by the park. A free shuttle bus will be running from downtown locations to the park from 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Pick up locations include Cooley Smiles (18031 67th Ave NE) and Northshore Utility District (6830 NE 185th Street). Children must be accompanied by an adult to ride the shuttle.
Come join your family, friends, neighbors, businesses, and local organizations at the City of Kenmore's Beautify Kenmore event on Saturday, September 12 from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. Volunteers will be helping clean up Kenmore's parks by pruning, removing dead plants, picking up litter, weeding, and removing woody debris. This is a great way to help beautify these treasured public places.
The Beautify Kenmore event will take place at Rhododendron Park (6910 NE 170th St) and Squire's Landing (7515 NE 175th St). Pick your park and invite friends and family to join you for a memorable time! The City encourages volunteers to bring gloves and basic gardening tools due to the City's limited supplies. Refreshments and water will be provided.
Volunteers between the ages of 14-17 will need to have their City Volunteer Agreement forms signed by a parent or guardian prior to volunteering. The City of Kenmore’s Tree Lighting Festival on Friday, December 4 is fun for the entire family!
Welcome Santa to Kenmore with an exciting countdown during the lighting of the tree at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy free activities throughout the evening. Attendees are encouraged to donate nonperishable food and stuffed animals to support local families in need this holiday season. Food and stuffed animal drop boxes will be located at both event facilities. You can also donate tree ornaments for the City Hall lobby tree.

The City of Kenmore is partnering with Cedar Park Northshore Church's Food Bank for a holiday food drive! From November 30 through December 11 you can donate any nonperishable food items; all donations will go directly to those in need in the Kenmore community. Some of the most needed items include canned fruits/vegetables, canned meats, boxed meals, soup/crackers, and oatmeal packets. There will be a large bin in the lobby of City Hall to collect items. The Tree Lighting Festival on December 4 is the perfect opportunity to stop by City Hall and donate.
The entertainment will be provided by Washington School of Dance, Cedar Park Northshore Church Choir, Moorlands Elementary School Choir, and Charlie the Clown (mime, magic, and juggling).
