Have you ever wanted to try rowing? Join the Kenmore Community Rowing Club for National Learn to Row Day on June 6, 2026! This free event at the Kenmore Public Boathouse will include trying out the rowing stroke on an “erg” and even rowing in a real crew boat!
Walk, bike, or park at Rhododendron Park or at the Kenmore Boat Launch (A Discover pass is required at to park at the Boat Launch lot). See Location & Parking Map here. This is a drop-in event, and boats will be launching throughout the morning. The duration of your erging/rowing session will be approximately one hour long. We’ll have ergs to try out first, followed by rowing in a real crew boat! Please arrive by 11 am at the latest, to make sure you get a seat in the boat before we wrap up the day with a fun, free barbeque from 12-1 pm! Boathouse tours will be running throughout the morning as well.
After National Learn to Row Day, if you tried it out and are interested in learning more about rowing, KCRC has you covered this summer! We offer Learn to Row classes for adults, and Youth Summer Camps!
