The Kenmore Business Alliance (KBA) is a committee of the Bothell Kenmore Chamber, formed to foster a thriving and connected business community in Kenmore and beyond. We welcome professionals and business owners from across the region to engage with us in meaningful collaboration, networking, and advocacy. Founded in 2013, we continue to evolve as a hub for business success and community impact.

Our mission is to connect business to community, enriching the region as a whole and advocating for a strong, diverse, and thriving business environment. We are committed to collaborating with neighboring communities to strengthen economic vitality across the region.

KBA serves as a dynamic platform to:

• Create exposure for businesses and the broader community
• Facilitate networking opportunities among business leaders
• Address local business challenges and advocate for solutions
• Serve as a bridge between the business community and city officials

 
KBA Annual Strategic Planning Session - January 2025

As part of our Economic Development Approach, the City of Kenmore is invested in the long-term success of our businesses and institutions. With this commitment and support, the City of Kenmore utilizes the business registration revenue to directly funnel back to and support businesses in the community. The business registration revenue comes from fees collected from the Kenmore Business Registration Program. 

In 2023, the City started an annual strategic planning session where KBA members vote on projects and initiatives that support the local business community and tourism. The purpose of this session is to determine how to best utilize the business revenue received from the Kenmore Business Registration Program each year. The strategic planning sessions are held in January. These sessions provide an opportunity to create partnership and collaboration with our businesses.

Projects Selected by KBA:

• 2023 - Facelift to FindKenmore.org Business Directory with addition of new tourism website.
• 2024 - Interactive kiosk in the Hangar at Town Square to display business directory, events, and opportunities for engagement.
• 2025 - KBA Sponsorship for Oktoberfest and Marketing Campaign for FindKenmore.org Business Directory/Visit Kenmore website. 

The KBA Executive Committee, founded in January 2025, exists to enhance continuity, broaden engagement, and strengthen the KBA’s impact. The committee supports the Kenmore Business Alliance Chair during and between meetings, provides backup for chairing duties when needed, offers input to city staff on projects and initiatives, and assists with ongoing KBA projects. This valuable committee serves to offer input, insight, and support for KBA related projects and help support and group the business community in Kenmore.
