Kenmore was awarded funds by the Washington State Department of Commerce to install EV chargers for public use. The Department of Commerce has also awarded the city funds, thanks to the Climate Commitment Act, to develop an EV Infrastructure Plan. This plan will look at short- and long-term charging needs, assessing the location of charging deserts, high traffic areas, and preferences from the community.

This project will help further the climate goals outlined in Kenmore’s Climate Action Plan.
