Kenmore is joining other agencies as part of the Bluebridge Alliance, a unique, innovative nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing public safety by fostering greater public trust in law enforcement.

The BlueBridge program enables officers to provide immediate short-term relief during interactions with community members in distress. This assistance may include food, clothing, fuel, shelter, transportation, or help with affording necessary medication.

Such interactions create opportunities to reach those at risk of criminal behavior, as well as those who are victims of crime, homelessness, or mental health crises.

The community is given the opportunity to donate to the cause, and funds donated to KPD will only be used in Kenmore. The Alliance provides matching funds for the first $2,500 donated by the community.
