A Partnership with Cascadia College 

This program was inspired by American Rescue Plan Act community engagement in 2021 and 2022 and funds were allocated by the Kenmore City Council for Catch-up Learning and Childcare Support at their May 16, 2022 meeting.

The Catch Up Learning program operated by Cascadia College is designed to assist students whose education was impacted by the pandemic. During the school year, students can participate in tutoring and academic coaching to help address academic needs and prepare for college or next steps after high school. During the late summer months of 2024, 2025 and 2026, a two week Summer Academy will be offered. 

The 2026 Summer Academy will begin August 3, 2026. Participants will earn three college credit hours and the program is free. Interested Kenmore residents and Northshore School District students can email Cascadia Academy at cascadiaacademy@cascadia.edu for more information. 

The program is open to current high school students who reside in Kenmore, and the Summer Academy is also open to immediate past graduates. Students and their parents can reach out to high school counselors for a referral to the program administrators, or email Cascadia Academy at cascadiaacademy@cascadia.edu directly for more information. 

A Partnership with Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness.  

This program was inspired by American Rescue Plan Act community engagement in 2021 and 2022, and funds were allocated by the Kenmore City Council for Homelessness Response at their May 16, 2022 meeting. 

The Homelessness Outreach program operated by Lake City Partners Ending Homelessness (LCP) is designed to assist people experiencing homelessness with access to supportive services, including referrals to God's Li'l Acre Day Center, The Oaks and other housing options when openings are available.

Under the terms of the contract with LCP, an Outreach Specialist provided services in Kenmore through the end of 2024, including responses to requests from the police, emergency services, city staff, and residents. For the 2025-2026 budget, this program was included in the broader package of funding for homelessness-related services, administered by the King County Regional Homelessness Authority under an Interlocal Agreement with the five north King County cities (Shoreline, Lake Forest Park, Kenmore, Bothell, Woodinville). Through that contract, LCP continues to provide outreach services, operate a Housing Access Points program, and attend Community Court every Tuesday to be available to Kenmore residents.

NOTE: This is not intended for use in emergency situations. Please call 911 for an emergency response. The Outreach Specialist phone and email are only monitored during regular business hours.  

A Partnership with Center for Human Services 

These programs were inspired by American Rescue Plan Act community engagement in 2021 and 2022 and funds were allocated by the Kenmore City Council at their May 16, 2022 meeting. 

The mental health counseling services operated by Center for Human Services (CHS) are designed to provide individual, group, and family counseling to youth and their families at no cost for Kenmore residents. For the 2023-2024 school year, this program operated out of Inglemoor High School and the Center for Human Services community-based mental health counseling locations in Shoreline and Bothell. For the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years, this program operated out of Kenmore Middle School. These services will continue through August 2026. 

To access free mental health counseling services for Kenmore residents, contact the CHS Centralized Screening at 206-362-7282 between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday to schedule an assessment appointment. There are community-based counseling locations in Bothell (12900 NE 180th St. Suite 140), Shoreline (14803 15th Avenue NE) and Edmonds (21727 76th Avenue W, Suite J).
