Special Events Update:
Due to public health precautions regarding COVID-19, and to assure the safety of the community, the City of Kenmore has canceled or significantly reduced most of our upcoming events programming.
Canceled events include: 4th of July Fireworks, Movies @ the Square, Play Day, National Night Out and the Holiday Tree Lighting. See below for more information on upcoming events and alternative event formats!

The City values our many volunteers who offer their time and talents to help make Kenmore a better place to live, work, and visit. Volunteers are essential to the City’s ability to provide quality services to Kenmore residents and visitors. A day to “give back” to the community. Celebrate Earth Day by picking up litter or beautifying the common space around your neighborhood.
Participate in the annual "Beautify Kenmore" event across Kenmore that is organized by you!
Perhaps you and your neighbors want to get together and beautify your street. Or you simply want to make your driveway look the best on the block. Gather your soil, flowers, gardening gloves, shovels, friends and family and head outside that weekend and help beautify Kenmore. This community event is volunteer-based and is a great way to get to know your neighbors and foster a sense of community.

When: Third Tuesday of each month, April through October 2019 from 9:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.
Where: Wallace Swamp Creek Park parking lot, 19851 73rd Avenue NE
If you enjoy exploring the natural outdoors, we invite you to participate in the City’s free guided nature walks at Wallace Swamp Creek Park!
On the third Tuesday of each month from April through October, volunteer Linda Phillips will host a 1.5 - 2 hour-long guided tour and explore two miles of paved and primitive trails through the 25-acre park. Tours will focus on plants and animals found in the park. Bring a pair of binoculars and a love for the outdoors.
Tours start at 9:00 a.m. at the kiosk at Wallace Swamp Creek Park parking lot. Participants under the age of 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent.

Come join us at the annual park cleanup event, Jack V. Crawford ‘Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore’ Day, on October 17 from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm at Log Boom Park. The event is in honor of Kenmore’s first mayor and his contributions to the City. Volunteers are needed to help remove invasive plants and pick up trash. If you have them, please bring your own work gloves. Tools, drinks, and snacks will be provided.
Volunteers are still needed for this event! Please fill out the volunteer intake form if interested!
Mayor Crawford served as Kenmore’s first Mayor from the City’s incorporation in August 1998 through 1999 and served on City Council until December 2005. Mayor Crawford passed away in 2008 and in 2009, City Council proclaimed Jack V. Crawford “Courtesy is Contagious in Kenmore” Day to honor his leadership, graciousness, and generosity of spirit. Mayor Crawford was particularly proud of Kenmore's parks. While serving as the president of the Kenmore Heritage Society in 2008, Jack played a key role in developing the Kenmore History Path at Log Boom Park. The Heritage Society dedicated the path to him in August 2009.
