West Sammamish River Bridge Opening Celebration & Fireworks

Thursday, August 11, 6:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Come down to celebrate the new West Sammamish River Bridge and enjoy a fun summer evening of food trucks, fun, live entertainment and fireworks! It will be a celebration you won’t want to miss.

Thursday, August 11 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
On the West Sammamish River Bridge in Kenmore
FREE and open to the public

Event Schedule:

6:00 pm - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the north end of the bridge
6:10 pm - Speakers from the middle of the bridge
6:30pm - 9:30pm Food trucks, fun and live entertainment on the bridge. Free food for the first 1,000 guests and great giveaways for the first 1,500 guests! See additional event details below.
9:30pm Fireworks Show!
Event concludes immediately after the fireworks show. We ask that all guests promptly leave at that time.

Activities and Entertainment

6:00pm Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Speakers

Guests will have access to the bridge promenade at 6 p.m. Event entrance tents will be open immediately after the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

9:30 p.m. Fireworks Show!

End the night with a spectacular fireworks display
Log Boom Park will be open for an additional viewing area for the fireworks show.
The parking lot is first come, first serve and we encourage biking, walking and using public transportation. There will be no event shuttles to or from Log Boom Park. There will be no vendors or giveaways at Log Boom Park. The park will close immediately after the fireworks show.

Parking, Shuttle & Traffic Information

With limited street parking in the area surrounding the bridge, please consider walking, biking, or taking the bus to this event. Shuttles are also available to bring you directly to the event!

Shuttle pick up information:

Two free shuttles to the bridge will be available from 5:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m.
Shuttles back to the parking lots will be on a continuous loop until 10:15 pm
Shuttles are ADA accessible

Traffic Information:

On event day, vehicle traffic will be condensed to the East Sammamish Bridge beginning at 11 a.m.
The boat launch at Rhododendron Park will be closed on event day beginning at 11 a.m.
