The Human Services Advisory Committee advises the Housing and Human Services Manager and City Manager concerning human services strategic planning and grant funding recommendations. The advisory committee is a term-limited group composed of 7-10 people who reside, own a business, work, or are a student in Kenmore. At least one committee member will be under the age of 20.  

Desirable qualities of a committee member include individuals who have an interest in human services as evidenced by knowledge, support and experience. Those with Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility experience and/or lived experience with human services needs are encouraged to apply. 

This Advisory Committee was intended to be a term-limited group, from October 2024 – June 2025. Due to limited applicants during the application period in Fall 2024, the full launch of this group has been delayed. Staff still expect to form this group and complete the strategic plan in 2025; an updated timeline will be published when it is available.
